laguna beach engagement: lauren and dorian
08.31.11 | In Love

Lauren and Dorian are such an amazing couple in love and were more than happy to snuggle up and steal kisses from each other during our session. They both looked spectacular dressed up for their photos around Downtown Laguna, but Lauren admitted she couldn't wait to get comfy and go barefoot on the beach to capture casual intimate photos which represents them so well as a couple. I always tell my couples it is important for their engagement photos to tell the story of who they are and not what's trendy or what other people think. I'm so excited Lauren and Dorian didn't hesitate to make sure their session was uniquely them and expressed who they are and how they wanted their photos to feel. If you are comfortable and having fun together as a couple the camera will see it and it makes for great photos. I'm looking forward to their wedding in Laguna in October with the fabulous Brooke Keegan.

l'auberge: kimberly and garrett wedding
08.29.11 | Nuptials

Kimberly and Garrett's beautiful beachside wedding at L'Auberge in Del Mar was amazing and intimate with an arch of swords ceremony by Garrett's fellow Marines. The arch of swords ceremony for weddings is an old English and American custom, which gives a symbolic pledge of loyalty to the newly married couple and ensures the couple's safe transition into their new life together. I was honored to photograph this special ceremony for the first time and capture their love for one another on their wedding day. Congratulations Kimberly & Garrett!

Marisa!!!!!!!!!!!
Michael and I just dropped everything and looked at all the pictures-the hundreds and hundreds of them. We are elated! The moments you captured, the intricacies you involved, the vibrance and quality you produced . . . you far surpassed everything we had imagined. In the midst of all your brilliance, you even somehow still managed to take those requested shots and poses we talked about in our consultation. Girl, you made us look goooood! On top of all that, you were such a pleasure to work with-so warm and easy and just plain fun! We are so thankful for you and your talent. No one else could have been so spectacular! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
Can't thank you enough!
Filled with joy,
Jacqueline & Michael |

san diego engagement: kim and bill
08.12.11 | In Love

Kim and Bill live in the Little Italy area of Downtown San Diego. Ever since I moved down here I have been wanting to do a session along the streets and the bay and I was excited when they suggested it. Little Italy has a fabulous mix of traditional homes and buildings along with some of the most contemporary cutting edge design here in San Diego. It is also just a quick walk away to the bay where you can get some fabulous views of downtown and the water. I had such a fun time with them and I am looking forward to their wedding tomorrow at the Museum of Contemporary art San Diego, La Jolla! What a fun place too... |
